TERMS OF USE

1. REGISTRATION, AGE POLICY, AND ACCOUNT SECURITY

1.1 Minimum Age and Parental Consent
The minimum age to become a Writeaholic user is 8 years. Individuals under the age of 8 are strictly prohibited from creating a Writeaholic Account. Users under the age of 13 may not create a Writeaholic Account without the consent of their parent or legal guardian.
Writeaholic is not obligated to verify the age of users or the existence of parental or legal guardian consent. Responsibility for compliance with age requirements and parental consent obligations rests solely with the user and, where applicable, their legal representative.
If it is determined that required parental or legal guardian consent has not been obtained, Writeaholic reserves the right to suspend or terminate the relevant account.

1.2 User Registration
To create a Writeaholic Account, users must provide accurate, current, and complete information. Providing false, misleading, outdated, or incomplete information may result in the suspension or deletion of the account.

1.3 Account Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their account credentials. Writeaholic shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from unauthorized use of a user’s account.
Users are required to keep their passwords confidential and to notify Writeaholic immediately upon becoming aware of any unauthorized access, security breach, or misuse of their account.

2. USER CONTENT AND OWNERSHIP

2.1 Ownership of User Content
You retain all ownership rights to the literary works, articles, poems, and other content that you post on Writeaholic.com.

2.2 License Granted to Writeaholic
By posting content on the Platform, you grant Writeaholic.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and sublicensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and promoting the Platform.

3. USER CONDUCT AND LEGAL WARRANTY

3.1 Warranty of Authorship
You represent and warrant that you are the sole author and rights holder of the content you post and that such content does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights.

3.2 Content Sharing and Platform Moderation
Users may share content through the Platform. However, content must not include discrimination based on religion, language, race, or ethnicity; insults; threats; harassment; hate speech; materials encouraging illegal activities; or content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights.
Writeaholic is not responsible for the content uploaded by users. However, content found to violate community guidelines, applicable laws, or platform policies—including but not limited to copyright infringement, spam, hate speech, violent, or unlawful material—may be temporarily suspended, edited, or permanently removed without prior notice.
Writeaholic may process such content in anonymized form for purposes including enhancing system security, improving service quality, and training artificial intelligence and moderation systems. Content that violates the Community Guidelines may be removed without prior notice.

3.3 Legal Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the legal consequences of your content, including but not limited to defamation, hate speech, or unlawful material.

3.4 Plagiarism
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and shall result in permanent account termination.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS AND EXPORT

4.1 Writeaholic Intellectual Property
All software, designs, logos, trademarks, and visual elements within the Writeaholic ecosystem are the exclusive property of Writeaholic and may not be copied, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

4.2 User Content
Users retain ownership of the content they upload. By uploading content, users grant Writeaholic permission to display such content on the Platform and to use it for promotional purposes within the Writeaholic ecosystem.

4.3 Content Usage License
Users retain all copyright rights to their stories, comments, and other content. Such content may be used solely by Writeaholic platforms for the purposes of providing, developing, and promoting the services.
Without the user’s explicit consent, such content may not be used or processed by third parties outside Writeaholic. However, Writeaholic may process content in anonymized form for platform development, moderation system improvements, or artificial intelligence training.

4.4 Export and Privileged Memberships
Under future Premium memberships, Test User programs, or similar privileged user groups, uploaded content may be exported, downloaded, or stored offline in EPUB, PDF, or similar digital formats by eligible users.
By uploading content, users acknowledge and accept these conditions. Bulk distribution or commercial use of exported content without Writeaholic’s explicit permission is strictly prohibited.

5. RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY WAIVER (IMPORTANT)

5.1 No Responsibility for Theft
Writeaholic is a technical platform provider and shall not be responsible for unauthorized copying, plagiarism, scraping, screenshotting, or other misuse of content by third parties.

5.2 Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that publishing content online involves inherent risks and agree that Writeaholic shall not be liable for damages arising from the misuse or theft of your content.

5.3 No Guarantee of Protection
While technical measures may be implemented to deter unauthorized copying, no guarantee is made regarding their effectiveness.

6. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

Writeaholic may suspend or terminate user accounts without prior notice in the event of any violation of these Terms.

6.1 Reopening Deleted Accounts
After account deletion, the same email address may not be used to create a new account for 30 days. Deleted email addresses may be retained for this purpose for up to 30 days.

6.2 Backup Retention
For system security purposes, deleted account data may be retained in database backups for up to 28 days, after which it is automatically deleted or overwritten.

6.3 Severe Violations
In cases of serious violations such as copyright infringement, spam, or abuse, accounts may be permanently terminated. Associated email addresses, IP addresses, and device identifiers may be retained for up to 10 years solely to prevent re-registration and abuse.

6.4 Username Policy
Accounts using inappropriate, misleading, offensive, or abusive usernames may be suspended or terminated without prior notice.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Writeaholic is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Writeaholic shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or reputation.

8. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international digital laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Platform’s registered jurisdiction.
